Good cards and yet no trick – something is not right at all!

I became suspicious when I realised that the Federal Council had not informed us openly and honestly about the role of the arbitral tribunal and the ECJ. Here is the background on why I believe this:

Parliament should immediately dismiss a Federal Councillor whom we cannot trust. This is about nothing less than treason.

The question that arises for us is whether the Federal Council and EU negotiators have deliberately negotiated so poorly with the EU to sell us the advantages of EU accession more effectively. We should prosecute Federal Councillors who disregard referendums or parliamentary decisions. Then this arrogant attitude of ignoring referendums will soon come to an end.

The initial situation:

We are not a minor partner of the EU. We are the EU’s fourth most important trading partner, after the USA (17%), China (15%), the United Kingdom (10%), and Switzerland (6%).

We import ø CHF 20 billion more from the EU than we export to the EU.

We finance the integration of new EU states with CHF 1.3 billion and receive nothing in return from the EU.

Why do we pay for the integration of new EU members? EU members, some of which have higher GDP growth and lower per capita debt than Switzerland?

We are financing an EU enlargement which, in combination with the Schengen Agreement, will bring us significantly more migration. Why are we doing this?

Why doesn’t the EU treat us as valued customers? After all, we have a trade deficit with the EU of CHF 20 billion annually. If we were Trump, we would now be negotiating with the EU about massive tariff increases on cars until the trade deficit is balanced.

Why do we allow the EU to harass us about EU certifications? We have not (yet) made a standard for cars to make it more difficult to import from the EU. Should we?

However, what is now the last straw is that the Federal Council is proposing to us in this situation that we should relinquish our sovereignty in essential areas. Agree to the dynamic adoption of the law, without being able to appeal to a neutral court. If we do not comply, substantial fines will be due.

WHY SHOULD WE SAY “YES” TO THIS?

Because we pay CHF 1.3 billion for a club that has nothing to do with us, harasses us and from which we buy CHF 20 billion more in goods? Since 2002, we have been paying twice as many EU cross-border commuters a wage 2-3 times higher than they would receive in their home country within the EU.

I do not believe that the Federal Council has acted, negotiated, and informed us so “unhappily” “in corpore” by chance – the Federal Council wants to force us into the EU. It’s as simple as that – we can save ourselves reading the 20,000 pages.

Simple: NO
